Security Eye gives you the possibility of setting up your own surveillance system. It is capable of connecting to webcams and IP cams and it shows you their feed on your desktop. Also, the application provides you with some interesting and useful features, to make your system more effective. If someone gets caught on camera, you can make sure you will have enough evidence.

The software is free to try, but without any significant functionality restrictions. It comes in a small package and it can be installed quickly. You can use Security Eye on any modern Windows platform, without sacrificing too many resources.

Camera feeds are displayed in separate grids, in the largest portion of the main user interface. New cameras can be added with the help of a wizard. If you have one or more cameras on your network, the software will detect them automatically. What's more, Security Eye can help you prepare them if they don't work right off the bat.

Once you have one or more cameras set up, you can either select individual feeds and start monitoring them separately or start monitoring all of them at once, with a single click. A particularly interesting feature is the possibility of setting the application to detect motion and to alert you when it does. Additionally, Security Eye can record when it detects something and it can perform other actions as well.

If you want an cheap and effective surveillance system, then Security Eye is the solution you should look at.

Pros

The software can monitor multiple camera feeds simultaneously. It can detect cameras on your network automatically. The best part is that it can detect motion and react to it.

Cons

Adding an IP camera manually is not as straightforward as it should be.
